The performers of this year’s nominated songs have been announced.

On Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd revealed that Gael García Bernal, Mary J. Blige, Andra Day, Natalia LaFourcade, Miguel, Keala Settle, Sufjan Steven, and Common are gearing up to hit the stage at the 2018 Oscars, E! News reports.

“We’re excited to have these talented artists showcase the powerful contribution music makes to filmmaking,” De Luca and Todd said in a statement. “It’s a privilege to welcome them to the 90th Oscars stage.”

According to their press release, Bernal, Lafourcade, and Miguel will perform “Remember Me” from Coco, Blige, who is also nominated for Best Supporting Actress, will sing “Mighty River” from Mudbound, and Common and Day will duet on “Stand Up for Something” from Marshall

Meanwhile, Settle will belt out “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman, and Stevens will perform “Mystery of Love” from Call Me by Your Name.

As Nicki Swift previously reported, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel was chosen to host the awards show for the second year in a row in May 2017. As the Academy’s President, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, said at the time of the announcement, the 50-year-old comedian was “one our finest hosts in Oscar history.”

This year’s nominations were announced last month, with Guillermo Del Toro’s The Shape of Water in the lead with 13 nominations.

It sounds like the event’s producers are aiming to make Hollywood’s biggest night more exciting than ever before. “We want to make [the award ceremony]as entertaining as possible — reverential and respectful but also fun and emotional. The Oscars should be a spectacle: fun and funny and great performances,” Todd told The New York Times on Thursday, Feb. 22. “It should also be a giant commercial for the movie business, which we all need to keep going.”

The 90th Academy Awards will air live on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 7 p.m. EST on ABC.
